Edited by: Pattern Clarc on 25/07/2008 14:57:16 FW introduces a ton of noobs to PvP
Noobs complain about the difficulty of PvP (lolz, my mission drake dies alot and my heavy missiles don't hit cruisers)
CCP listens and begins to nerf speed (either too far or far to little imo)
riiiiight...

I like the irony of the nano fans whining more
I have BS V in gallente, caldari and minmatar with t2 guns to match, trust me i'm no nano *****.
I'm just disappointed in the heavy handed and ill-conceived changes there suggesting and this pattern of capitulating to the lowest common denominator instead of introducing new tactics and exploring more options for creative game play.

The respect is dented for completely misunderstanding the nature and scale of the problem, or being extraordinarily lazy in there approach imho

Originally by: BlackHorizon With the amount of excellent work and analysis Nozh's blog took to create, do you really think CCP had not intended the speed changes before factional warfare was introduced?
Use your brain.
There are forums that create that much analysis and research on tracking mechanics every weekend.
It's exactly a month since the loudest and most vitriolic rants speed, to suggest that the dev blog is the accomplishment of months of work is more an insult to the CCP dev staff imho

Look Ma, I just made a compleet fool out of myself! Are you to blind to see that the game was broken? Speed was used to creat unvulnerability. Interceptors overtaken by nano Hacs is ok with you? Missiles and guns never hitting anything is ok with you? Get a grip m8. The game was broken and deep in your hart you know it! Anyway, tomorrow patch day?

Originally by: Pattern Clarc Instead of environments, revisiting tracking and hit mechanics, removing webs and mwd's and implementing subsystem warfare, they pull this bullshit.

The change outlined in the dev blog is too heavy-handed, but your suggested changes are: 1. Removing webs 2. Removing microwarp drives 3. Implementing subsystem targeting

I think I said...
environments, revisiting tracking and hit mechanics, (so theres no absolute value you can go past to avoid all damage which does not change with this nerf) removing webs and mwd's (the most broken and binary modules in the game) implementing subsystem warfare
They'd also need to increase the difference between speed in the classes, and increase the base speed to about 40% of what mwd speed is now.
Nope.
instead there turning scrams in to webs  and nerfing the game solely to make the game easier, instead of better.

You are equally unimportant to my game experience and I disdainfully request that you bequeath your nanojunk to myself. I will endeavor to take your uninformed opinion at a level of consideration at least equivalent to that which I do a gerbil's.

Okay, now you're just trolling.
Look at that guy, hasn't even read the tread, every post has been completely irrelevant, he doesn't even know my position, nor does he care, as so long as he can pedal his nano tears bullshit.
So excuse me for being blunt.

Why would I lose respect for them fixing that?
We or CCP will have to find another way to counter the blob.
Fixing???
